Abduction, burglary, murder, sexual assault among Mercer County indictments

MERCER COUNTY (WVVA) More than 80 people have been indicted by the Grand Jury (June 2015 term) in Mercer County.

Charges include abduction with intent to defile, burglary, drug offences, embezzlement, malicious assault and first degree murder.

Michael Neel, 25, of Mercer County is charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of his estranged wife Kayla Neel, 20. She died on December 28, 2014, twelve days after she and Dakota Walls, 21, were shot on Mya Road in Bluewell, WV.

Timothy Scott, 40, of Princeton is charged with murder following the death of his uncle, Thomas Yates, 64, also of Princeton, died as a result of wounds he received during an altercation with Scott on January 8. 

Nyiheem Whitlow , 19, of Bluefield is charged with first degree murder and wanton endangerment in the shooting death of Lance Terry, 25. Terry was shot on the corner of Essex and Union streets in Bluefield, WV.
