LEWISBURG, WV (WVVA) A man and woman are accused of pointing a shotgun at a person in the parking lot of a Lewisburg motel.

The call came in around 1:40 am Wednesday. Police say the man and woman were in a black Dodge Charger at the time and apparently were stopping people and asking them for drugs.

Kevin Palmer, 25, of Dayton, Ohio and Theresa Kennedy, 33, of Fairborne, Ohio were charged with brandishing a weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Kennedy is being held on $42,000 bond. Palmer is being held on a $6,500 bond. Both are currently being housed in Southern Regional Jail.

A male juvenile inside the vehicle tried to run from police but was quickly apprehended. Police later found out he had an active warrant for being a runaway. A Greenbrier County magistrate placed the juvenile in the Gene Spadaro Juvenile Center in Mount Hope.

The vehicle the suspects were traveling in turned out to be stolen. Police found a shotgun in the vehicle and two more inside and outside the couple's motel room. Police say Palmer and Kennedy have an extensive criminal history and "are being investigated by at least five different jurisdictions in Ohio for a multi-county crime spree." Authorities in Ohio are expected to travel to West Virginia for further investigation.
