Beckley Police investigating Captain D's armed robbery


(News Release)  On April 18, 2015 at 11:37pm the Beckley Police Department responded to Captain D's located at 800 S. Eisenhower Drive in reference to an armed robbery that had just occurred.

Upon arrival officer learned that (3) three males entered the business after firing multiple rounds from a handgun through the front door (no one was injured as a result of the shots fired).

A female employee was in the business at the time and she was assaulted by one of the suspects armed with a handgun. The female received a minor laceration as a result of this attack.

The suspects demanded money and threatened the female employee if she didn't comply. The suspects fled the business on foot toward Go Mart with an undisclosed amount of money. All three suspects were wearing dark colored clothing, gloves and masks. The suspect's race and physical characteristics are unknown at this time.

Detectives were called out to conduct an investigation into this incident
