Veterans clinic in Greenbrier County to reopen Friday

GREENBRIER COUNTY (WVVA) A VA outpatient clinic in Greenbrier County is set to reopen Friday.

The clinic was shutdown in June after employees complained of headaches, dizziness, and a burning sensation to the eyes. At the time, air quality testing resulted in no significant findings. However, administrators followed recommendations from specialists to improve air quality. The clinic reopened September 22 by was shutdown again in October when employees started experiencing the same symptoms as before.

Director Karin L. McGraw says "the design corrections required to improve the air quality at the Greenbrier County clinic have been completed with retesting conducted by the Greenbrier Valley Economic Development Corporation."

McGraw says veterans will be contacted to confirm their appointments at the Maxwellton-based clinic. Beginning on Thursday, veterans can call 304-497-3900 with any questions or concerns. The clinic will open on Friday at 8:00 a.m.
