MERCER COUNTY (WVVA) The man named to run a new addiction treatment center in Mercer County has been arrested on a probation violation involving prescription drugs.

Jeff Keatley tested positive Friday morning for the prescription pain killer oxycodone. Keatley was taped to run the future Four Seasons Recovery Center located in a former school on Preston Street in Bluefield, WV.

The center is scheduled to open in early May. Funds to operate the facility for three years were made available by a State Department grant.

The Healing Pace out of Huntington, WV is overseeing the project.

"We are going to continue to look into it and investigate what happened. In the field that we work in things happen. We love Jeff and we support him. Addiction is an insidious disease. We are fully committed to seeing the Four Seasons Recovery Center come to fruition and help Mercer and surrounding counties," says Matt Boggs, Director of the Healing Place in Huntington.

Earlier in February, Keatley told WVVA he was a drug addict for 33 years and had been clean for the past 4 years.

A hearing for Keatley is scheduled for February 26. Until then, he will be held in Southern Regional Jail without bond.

WVVA was the only media outlet at the hearing. We'll have more on this exclusive story Friday on WVVA at 5 and 6.
