Fayette County teacher is arrested on drug charges

FAYETTE COUNTY (WVVA) A teacher at Fayetteville High School is arrested on drug charges after she allegedly  purchased prescription pain pills from an undercover officer.

Shae Davis Wells, 40, of Fayetteville, is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. She was arrested on Monday.

According to the criminal complaint, members of the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force conducted "what is known as a controlled reversal" after receiving numerous complaints about Wells using roxycodone prescription pills.

The document states:

"After an investigation into this matter a 'deal' was setup to sell Shae Wells ten roxycodone prescription pills for $300.00 in U.S. Currency.  On this date Shae Wells left Fayetteville High School and drove to Dairy Queen in Fayetteville, Fayette County, WV. At that point Shae Wells met with a officer assigned to the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force. At this point she purchased ten roxycodone prescription pills for $300.00."

Wells was able to make bond.
