WV PSC to hold public hearings on electricity rates in Fayette, McDowell, and Mercer counties

AEP has requested a $226 million or approximately 17 percent, increase of rates and charges for their West Virginia customers. It has also requested a revision of its depreciation rates. 

The Commission has set an evidentiary hearing in these matters for January 13 - 16, 2015, in Charleston.

The Public Service Commission has scheduled ten public comment hearings in the pending Appalachian Power Company and Wheeling Power Company, together American Electric Power (AEP) Rate Case. Those hearings will be held:

November 6, 2014, 1:00 pm, Mercer County Courthouse, Princeton

November 13, 2014, 1:00 pm, Cabell County Courthouse, Huntington

November 13, 2014, 6:00 pm, Cabell County Courthouse, Huntington

November 20, 2014, 1:00 pm, Ohio County Courthouse, City-County Complex, Wheeling

November 20, 2014, 6:00 pm, Ohio County Courthouse, City-County Complex, Wheeling

January 12, 2015, 1:00 pm, PSC Office, 201 Brooks Street, Charleston
