North Tazewell man is sentenced to 5 years in prison for exposing himself to shoppers

TAZEWELL COUNTY (WVVA) Lancaster Johnson, 48, of North Tazewell, VA is sentenced to five years in prison for exposing himself in a retail store.

According to Commonwealth Attorney Dennis Lee Office, on March 2, 2014, Johnson entered a retail store in Bluefield, VA , exposed himself and performed a lewd act. The incident was witnessed by several shoppers and store management.  One manager confronted Johnson and demanded he leave the store. Johnson left the property before police arrived.

Investigators later found out Johnson has history of this type of behavior going back 20 years.

Johnson was arrested on March 17, five days after he was indicted by the Grand Jury in Tazewell County. On August 27, Johnson entered a guilty plea to felony indecent exposure, being his third or subsequent offense. Five years in prison is the maximum penalty for the crime.
