Five People arrested after reports of shots fired in Princeton

PRINCETON (WVVA) – Five males are arrested after officers receive reports of shots fired near Courthouse Road in Princeton late Wednesday night.

Lt. Joe Parks with the Mercer County Sheriff's Office tells WVVA that Bradford Lafon, 20, Steven Brookman, 25, Barry Farley, 22, James Hicks, 21, and Josh Pendergrass, 22 are all currently being charged with discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a home and conspiracy.

The five male subjects we're in possession of two SKS rifles, a 12 gauge shotgun and a small pistol, says Parks.

Bradford Lafon and James Hicks were also charged with possession of marijuana.

Further charges could be pending.

Mercer County 911 dispatchers say the initial call was received at 7:13 Wednesday night.

Princeton Police Department, Mercer County Sheriff's Office and the West Virginia State Police all responded.

No injures were reported.

Lt. Joe Parks says these five males are being taken to Southern Regional Jail and are expected to be arraigned early Thursday morning.
