Princeton Rays players to collect canned goods for food pantry

Posted:

Three players each from the Princeton Rays professional baseball team will be bagging groceries for the public at four different Grant's Supermarket locations over the period of two days, July 17-18 while also collecting canned goods for a local food pantry.

Thursday, July 17 from 10:30 am-12:3 will see P-Rays' players in uniform at the Grant's locations in Green Valley and Glen wood. In addition to bagging groceries, the players will ask shoppers to consider purchasing a couple of extra non-perishable canned food good items that can be left with the players to in turn be donated to Tender Mercies Food Pantry. Players scheduled to be bagging on Thursday are Freddy Alvarez, Hyrum Formo, Hector Montes, Emmanuel Paulino, Manny Sanchez, and Cristian Toribio.

Friday, July 18 from 10:30am-12:30pm will see other P-Rays' players in uniform at Grant's Supermarket locations on Main Street in Princeton and at the Athens Crossroads-Princeton store. Once again, as the prior players also will do on Thursday, the players will ask shoppers to consider purchasing a couple of extra non-perishable canned food good items that can be left with the players to in turn be donated to Tender Mercies Food Pantry. Players scheduled to be bagging on Friday (one yet to be named) are Yonny Chirinos, Trevor Lubking, Greg Maisto, Thomas Michelson, and Ruben Paredes.
