BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (WVVA) -- The Bluefield Blue Jays were all set to win their sixth-straight game and complete back-to-back sweeps but the Bristol Pirates played spoiler Friday night.

The Pirates jumped out to a 7-0 lead and never looked back, defeating the Jays 10-5 at Bowen Field.

The Jays hit the road over the weekend but won't go far. They take on the Princeton Rays Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Saturday evening's game is the first Jonathan's Hope "Shirt off our back" night. The Rays will raffle special jerseys during the game and donate the proceeds to the Jonathan Powell Hope Foundation.
