Cabrera Wins 2014 Greenbrier Classic

Posted:

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. (WVVA) -- The 2014 Greenbrier Classic was all about catching fire at the right time, rather than consistency over the course of the weekend. Angel Cabrera got the hottest and he's the one wearing the Green Jacket .

Cabrera shot a pair of 64s over the weekend to finish -16 and win the 2014 Greenbrier Classic. He was especially unstoppable Sunday, a six birdie and one eagle: a magical 180 yard 8-iron that took a pair of hops and rolled into the cup.

The win is Cabrera's first since the 2009 Masters. He also won the 2007 U.S. Open.

Cabrera out-dueled second and third round leader Billy Hurley III. Hurley woke up Sunday with the lead but shot a +3 73 and finished tied for fourth.
