PRINCETON, W. Va (WVVA)-- The family accused of murdering a Summers County man appears in court to move the case on toward trial.

Prosecutors tell us Oscar Combs, Senior along with his wife Linda Combs, and their son Oscar Combs, Jr. appeared in court Thursday.
They're each charged with robbery, murder, and conspiracy to murder James "Bo" Butler, who went missing on the way through Mercer County to his workplace back in 2011. (Click for more details about the case.)

His body was later found on Herndon Mountain in Wyoming County.

In a status hearing Thursday, a trial date was set for September 23rd, and prosecutors decided Oscar Combs, Sr. will go first.

So far no plea deals have been reached or discussed.
