UPDATE: Search Continues For Missing Fayette County Man

Posted:

OAK HILL (WVVA) - Authorities have more questions than answers as the search for a missing Fayette County man enters the seventh day.

William Bruebaker, also known as 'Reuben,' was last seen leaving his Oak Hill home off Gatewood Avenue on June 24th.

Right now, friends and family are searching the surrounding area after a bloodhound team picked up his scent in a wooded area near his home, but as time goes on, Captain Jim Sizemore is growing increasingly concerned about Bruebaker's chances for survival.

"We really don't have a starting point for an organized search of any kind because we can't pin down in which area he might be," Sizemore said.

Bruebaker is 60 years old and was last seen wearing black pants, a blue sleeveless shirt, and a black hat.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the fayette county 911 center at 304-574-3590.
