Golf Channel Am Tour Holds Tournament At Fincastle

Posted:
BLUEFIELD, Va. (WVVA) -- The Carolina Tour of the Golf Channel's national Amateur tour stopped at Fincastle on the Mountain Saturday for a golf tournament. Some of the best golfers from the Carolinas, West Virginia and Virginia spent the day trying to figure out Fincastle's tricky greens.

The Golf Channel Am-Tour is the number one amateur golf tour in North America and gives golfers a taste of tournament golf.

"You're not here to win a million dollars - this isn't the PGA Tour," said tournament director Ross VanDooser. "It's about the social aspect. You'll me some great people along the way. You can play where the pros play and see how your game stacks up against theirs."
