Man Allegedly Shoots Dog Four Times While in its Kennel

 BLUEFIELD (WVVA)- Lorenzo Valentine is charged with wanton endangerment, felony possession of a firearm and cruelty to animals.

According to a criminal complaint, Valentine's daughter was running from a large dog when she tried to jump a fence and severely cut her leg.

The report states that officers with The Bluefield West Virginia Police Department were called to a home when Valentine went to the owner's of the dog and shot their animal four times.

The owner took the dog to the vet. Officials say it was in critical condition at the time.

Valentine is being held at Southern Regional Jail on a $20,000 cash only bond.
