WASHINGTON, D.C. (News Release) - U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall (D-W.Va.) recently hosted McDowell County students who are participating in “Broader Horizons,” a mentoring and internship program sponsored by Reconnecting McDowell and AT&T. Rahall, who serves as Ranking Member on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, hosted the students from River View and Mount View High Schools in the Committee chambers for a question and answer session led by the students. The group is on a four-day visit to Washington, D.C.-area college campuses, Capitol Hill offices, and businesses this week.

“A trip to our Nation’s Capital and a day on Capitol Hill can leave lasting impressions on young minds. There is no substitute for a firsthand look at how our government works. I always enjoy the enthusiasm and interest of our young students from McDowell County. We had a great time meeting together,” said Rahall.
