Motorcycle Ride Honors Veterans in Princeton

Posted:
PRINCETON --  Every day, veterans return from war needing support and assistance.

That is why the Princeton Chapter of Christian Motorcyclists met with another chapter from the Roanoke Valley Friday.

They came together at the Veterans Memorial at the Visitors Center in Princeton to make the hand-off of a flag that has flown over the White House. The flag is on a journey that will take it to all 50 states.

The intent is to raise money for veterans coming home from war.

"It's a worthwhile cause," said David Bishop, a Patriot rider. "All the money from this ride goes to the veterans and the website is nation of Patriots, if you care to look that up."

The Princeton bikers will carry the flag to Pikeville, Kentucky on Saturday.
