Man once reported missing is sentenced

Posted:

MERCER COUNTY (WVVA) - A Mercer County man caught in Florida after being reported missing last July has been sentenced.

Michael Jarrett of Matoaka was sentenced to a cumulative 4-40 years on four counts of "fraudulent use of an unauthorized access device."

Last July, members of Jarrett's family had contacted West Virginia State Police, saying they hadn't seen him-- Jarrett was later caught in Florida in September.

Family members claim he misused family funds.

Jarrett is now in Southern Regional Jail.
