Miners Swinging Ice Cold Bats

Posted:
BECKLEY, W.Va. (WVVA) -- Even the 1-9 team is swinging the bat a little better. The West Virginia Miners' start to the 2014 Prospect League season has not been ideal, especially in the batters box.

The Miners are last in the league in extra base hits, with 9. Most teams have 20 or more. Springfield started their season 1-9 and they have 12 extra base hits.

The Miners are currently on a two-game road trip to Butler. They'll be back to Beckley, Friday for a weekend series against Terre Haute.
