UPDATE: 2 injured in crash on Route 52 in Brushfork

BRUSHFORK (WVVA) - A woman and child were transported to the hospital after a truck and car collided in Brushfork Friday morning.

According to Dep. Joshua Bish with the Mercer County Sheriff's Department, the crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. on Route 52 across from Airgas when a white Ford F-350 traveling north attempted to turn left across the highway and struck a black passenger vehicle.

A woman and 8-year-old girl in the black car were transported with undisclosed injuries.

Bish said the driver was charged with failure to yield. He said thick fog may have played a factor in the crash.


BRUSHFORK (WVVA) - Motorists were advised to expect delays on Route 52 in the Brushfork area Friday morning as crews responded to a crash.

Two people were transported to the hospital as a result of the crash, which occurred around 7:30 a.m. in the vicinity of 84 Lumber.

The Mercer County Sheriff's Department, Bluewell Fire and Bluefield Rescue were all on scene.
