Doctor pleads guilty to multiple drug charges

FAYETTEVILLE (WVVA) - A doctor accused of exchanging prescription drugs in exchange for sexual favors has pleaded guilty to multiple charges.

Court officials say Dr. Oscar Gosien was initially being investigated on 56 different cases. On Wednesday he pleaded guilty to three different felony drug charges.

The plea agreement between Gosien and the Fayette County Prosecuting Attorney's Office was to three counts of constructive delivery of a controlled substance.

The investigation dates back to 2007.

Gosien was arrested and charged in late 2012 for trading prescription medications to female patients for sexual favors.

He faces up to 35 years in prison and fines around $65,000 with his guilty plea.

Gosien will appear before Judge Hatcher for sentencing on June 30.
