BLUEFIELD (WVVA) - A woman wanted in a recent bank robbery attempt in Bluefield has been apprehended in Tennessee after an apparent home invasion gone awry.

Beverly Ann Mangum is now in custody in Morristown, Tenn. on charges of aggravated burglary, criminal impersonation and assault stemming from an incident on April 14.

According to Det. Lt. Vicki Arnold with the Morristown Police Department, Mangum and four other individuals -- including her son -- stormed into a home in Morristown around 11 p.m., knocking the homeowner down in the process.

The homeowner was able to retrieve a shotgun and fire a "warning shot" which caused the suspects to flee -- leaving their vehicle behind.

Arnold said Mangum is currently wheelchair-bound after injuring her knee in the incident.

Mangum, who has a Bluefield, Va., address is wanted in an attempted robbery on April 11 at First Century Bank on College Avenue in Bluefield.

According to a previous report, police said Mangum passed a teller at the bank a note, stating she had a gun.  Moments later, she got spooked and fled.
