2 wounded after knife used during domestic dispute

AVIS (WVVA) - Two people were transported to the hospital following a domestic dispute that resulted in two individuals suffering cuts.

Authorities say the incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. Monday at the home of Mike Trout on Railroad Avenue, in the Avis area of Hinton.

Hinton Police Chief Derek Snavely says Trout and Della Crawford were both "extremely intoxicated" when police arrived to the scene.

Trout suffered a one-inch cut on his chest, a cut on his bicep and cuts on multiple fingers. Crawford suffered a three-inch cut to her face. Both were treated at a local hospital.

Snavely says it appears the wounds on each victim were caused by the same folding utility knife.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
