UPDATE: Man caught in door-to-door scam

TAZEWELL (WVVA) -- Tazewell County Sheriff's Deputies arrest a man wanted for scams.

Timothy Dillow of North Tazewell is charged with obtaining money by false pretenses, a felony charge, after allegedly door-to-door scamming elderly citizens in Tazewell County.

According to Chief Deputy Harold Heatley, Dillow has been going to various homes and attempting to scam money from the residents by telling them his vehicle has broken down or that they owe him money for a job he'd previously done.

Dillow was found on Ginger Lane Sunday morning.

He's facing additional charges in Bland County and West Virginia.

TAZEWELL (WVVA) - Authorities are looking for a North Tazewell man they say has gone to door-to-door to multiple homes in the region attempting to scam money from those who answer.

Timothy Dillow is currently wanted by the Tazewell County Sheriff's Office for obtaining money by false pretenses, a felony.

Chief Deputy Harold Heatley says Dillow has been going to various homes and attempting to scam money from the residents by telling them his vehicle has broken down or that they owe him money for a job he'd previously done.

Heatley says Dillow faces similar charges in Russell County and the sheriff's office has also received reports he is attempting the same scam in Mercer and McDowell counties.
