BRAMWELL (WVVA) - Route 52 was closed near Bramwell Thursday afternoon as crews worked to clear the scene of a two-vehicle crash.

Deputies with the Mercer County Sheriff's Office at the scene said an 18-wheeler lost control and jack-knifed while attempting to avoid rear-ending a vehicle turning off of the highway in front of it.

When the truck lost control, it veered into the other lane striking a minivan. No injuries were reported.

As of 4 p.m. the highway was still closed as crews worked to clear the scene. Possible charges are pending.
