Marshall Seals Win With Walk-off Single

Posted:
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WVVA) -- Things haven't gone well for the Marshall baseball team but, despite the season's early hardships, there was some magic in the Herd's bats Friday night.

Down a run to Tulane, going into the bottom of the ninth, Eric Escobedo grounded a single through the infield and Chase Vogelbach scored, giving Marshall the 3-2 win.

It's only Marshall's seventh win of the year and fourth in Conference USA play. They host Tulane at Charleston's Appalachian Power Park through the weekend. Game two of the three game series is Saturday afternoon. The series wraps up Sunday.
