DANIELS (WVVA) - A Summers County woman died after being struck by a vehicle in Raleigh County.

It happened Thursday night around 9:45 on Ritter Drive in the Daniels area.

Deputies say 64-year-old Dorothy Price of Jumping Branch  was attempting to cross the roadway  when she was hit by an oncoming SUV.

She was pronounced dead at a Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital.

No charges are expected to be filed against the driver.

DANIELS (WVVA) – One person is taken to a local hospital after being hit by a vehicle, Thursday night.

Dispatchers say the person was hit on Ritter Drive in Raleigh County around 9:45.

Dispatchers could not confirm the condition of that person.

Beaver Fire Department and EMS responded.
