WELCH (WVVA) - A total of 21 individuals were sought during a drug roundup in McDowell County Friday.
Sheriff Martin West says most of the charges were related to prescription pill abuse. Most arrests were made in the War area.
West said that along with prescription drugs, heroin is also on the rise in the community.
West added that some of the arrests were follow-ups on community tips. He said the roundup sends a message that there are consequences for drug crimes.
As of 3:30 p.m., Friday, the following individual had been arrested:
