Parents Struggle to Find a Place for Their Children on Snow Days

Posted:

LEWISBURG (WVVA)- For many parents, the toughest thing about snow days is finding a place for their kids to stay while they're at work.

Some parents say it's a hassle. Cindy Puffenbarger has had to take her son around to all of her appointments.

She says, "he's had to spend the entire day cooped up in the vehicle with us."

While it's nerve racking for parents she feels it's just as stressful for the kids. "Your nerves by the end of the day are frayed and I feel sorry for the children."

To try and accommodate parents local daycare centers work to open their doors no matter what the weather.

As long as the snow falls and schools get canceled parents will work their magic like they always do.
