Man pleads guilty to setting cats on fire

FAYETTE COUNTY (WVVA) - A Fayette County man has pleaded guilty to throwing a box of live cats into a fire last year.

Michael W. Ford entered guilty pleas to three counts of cruelty to animals on Tuesday, in connection with the incident on Oct. 21, 2013.

According to a news release from the Fayette County Prosecuting Attorney's office, Ford admitted to placing at least three cats inside a wooden box and throwing them into a fire.

Ford now faces 3-15 years in prison and fines. His sentencing is scheduled for April 10.
