    Beckley, W.Va. – United States Attorney Booth Goodwin announced that a Greenbrier County man pled guilty to a federal drug charge in Beckley Thursday. Seth Allen Carr, 24, of Alderson, admitted that on April 9, 2014, he used a telephone to facilitate a drug transaction. When he used the telephone he was in Lewisburg. Following the telephone conversation, Carr sold heroin to a confidential informant. Carr faces up to 4 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. United States District Judge Irene Ber...More >>

RICHLANDS (WVVA) - In the aftermath of the devastating fire at the Good Samaritan Food Pantry in Richlands, WVVA and Grants Supermarkets are collecting donations to help those who rely on the pantry for necessities.

Beginning Monday, Feb. 24, you can drop off any non-perishable food items that you'd like to donate at WVVA's Studios in Bluefield during weekday business hours (Mon.-Fri., 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.).

You can also leave donations at the Grants Supermarket locations in Richlands and Tazewell. These Grants stores are also collecting $5 monetary donations.
