TAZEWELL COUNTY (WVVA) -- Two men are accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from a Tazewell County home, and investigators believe there may be more victims.

Erik Lee Wickham and Jesse James Stevenson have been arrested in connection with a break-in that occurred at a home on Bailey Switch Road near Springville on Jan. 20.

The victims reported that most of their belongings had been stolen and thousands of dollars worth of damage was done to the home.

Detective Ron Holt was led to the suspects after one of the men allegedly passed checks that had been taken from the home at a local business.

The suspects were apprehended during a traffic stop in which stolen property was also recovered from their vehicle, a red Dodge Durango.

More stolen property was found at area pawn shops, as well as a residence on Angles Hollow Road, which was searched after detectives interviewed the suspects.

Based on the items seized, Holt believes that there may be more homes that have been broken into but not reported.

Stevenson has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property with Intent to Sell and Wickham has been charged with 1 Count of Breaking and Entering and 3 Counts of Forgery.

All of these charges are felonies and both men are currently being held in the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Tazewell.

Holt said that Fast Cash and Pawn in Bluefield, Va., and American Pawn in Bluefield, W.Va., were instrumental in catching the suspects.
