Writers, Artists Encouraged to Submit Works to BC's Bluestone Review

Posted:

Bluefield College is encouraging BC students and members of the community to submit to the 21st edition of The Bluestone Review.  The Bluestone Review is a literary magazine that is published by BC students under the direction of Dr. Rob Merritt, professor of English.

"The Bluestone Review is a great way for writers and artists to display their work.  It is a great way for one to see the immense talent from both students and members of the community," said Danielle Preservati, co-editor of the review.

The guidelines for submissions are as follows:  five works per contributor, each with a limit of 750 words.  Contributions can be creative nonfiction, poetry, short essays, fiction, song lyrics, artwork, and photography.  Photographs will be included in black and white.

All works must be submitted by March 7 to be eligible for publication.  Contributors must submit their works by email to bluestone@bluefield.edu.  If one cannot submit by email, please send submissions to:  Bluefield College, The Bluestone Review, 3000 College Drive, Box #394, Bluefield, Virginia, 24605.

Along with your submission, please include your name, address, contact information, Twitter username (if applicable), and a biographical sentence.

On April 10 at 7:00 pm, the college will host a reading or performing of the magazine where contributors will have the opportunity to read their submissions from the 21st edition of The Bluestone Review.
