Three men under arrest for stealing copper from local store

BLUEFIELD, Va. (WVVA) -- Almost 1,500 pounds of copper has been stolen from a local business.  Three suspects are behind bars for the crime.  

Jerry Lucas, 33, of Bossevain, Virginia and Jerry Mitchem, 27, of Anawalt, West Virginia have admitted to breaking into Blizzards Inc. and E.I.S. to steal copper.

They resold it for more than $4,000.  The two are being charged with breaking and entering, grand larceny, conspiracy to commit breaking and entering and conspiracy to commit grand larceny.

A third man, James Lowmark, 23 of Princeton is also being charged with conspiracy to commit breaking and entering and conspiracy to commit grand larceny.

More charges are still pending.  The three are being held in Southwest Regional Jail.
