    MONTCALM, W.Va. (AP) -- A barn demolition project in Mercer County has uncovered a 19th century log school. Brian Pigg discovered the hand-hewn logs at his barn's core while removing siding. The barn is located on Browning Lambert Mountain in the Montcalm area. Retired Montcalm High School history teacher Jack Johnson tells the Bluefield Daily Telegraphthat the log structure was once known as the Mullins School. Criminal Complaint Narrative

On January 9, 2014, the undersigned officer obtained a search warrant for 1001 Franklin Street, Bluefield, Mercer County, West Virginia based upon facts and evidence that had been collected by the undersigned officer as well as investigators with the US Department of Homeland Security into the possession, receipt, and distribution of child pornography via email; the search warrant was signed by the Honorable Judge William Saddler of the 9th Judicial Circuit.

On January 10 2014, the undersigned officer, with the assistance of other officers, executed said search warrant at the aforementioned address. During the execution of the search warrant three occupants were located, Joshua Poff, his brother and his father.

After serving the search warrant the undersigned officer conducted an audio-recorded interview at the Mercer County Sheriff's Department of Joshua Poff. After he had been advised of his Miranda Rights and waiving the same he admitted to owning and being the primary user of email address jdpoff16@gmail.com as well as the computers and electronic devices that had been seized from his bedroom. He further admitted to utilizing certain websites to search for and download child pornography as well as identifying other individuals through their email who were willing to trade child pornography.

Once the interview was complete the undersigned officer obtained consent to manually search Joshua Poff's gmail account where the undersigned officer located numerous emails detailing the trade of child pornography including emails that contained attachments. These attachments were found to contain child pornographic videos and pictures.

All emails and attachments were downloaded to the undersigned officer's computer and the email account was seized.

After Joshua Poff left the Mercer County Sheriff's Department the undersigned officer viewed all the files contained in the emails detailed above and found that Joshua Poff had in is

possession/control 148 pictures and videos that depicted prepubescent female children engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

Therefore, the undersigned officer requests a warrant be issued for Joshua D. Poff for the crimes described above so that he may answer for said crimes in a Mercer County Court.
