    CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. (AP) -- A man accused of shooting and wounding two women at a community college inside a Christiansburg mall has pleaded guilty to four felony charges. Media outlets report that 19-year-old Neil Allan MacInnis of Christiansburg pleaded guilty Wednesday to two counts of aggravated malicious wounding and two counts of using a firearm in a felony.             On Tuesday, February 11, Tal Stanley, the third author featured in the series "4" Authors in "8" Week hosted by The Richlands Area Chamber of Commerce, CART and the Appalachian Art Center, will share his experiences as an author, teacher and historian of Appalachian culture. These readings are FREE TO THE PUBLIC and presented at the Appalachian Art Center (Old Archie Helton Store) on US Route 19 near Wardell at 7:00p.m.
            Tal Stanley, a tenth generation Southwest Virginian holds a BA from Emory and Henry College as well as a MDiv and PhD from Emory University.  Director of the Appalachian Center of Community Service at Emory and Henry, Dr. Stanley is a highly acclaimed bestselling author.
            Tal learned at a very early age to listen to the stories told by his mother and created his own style of writing and storytelling. Stories passed down from generation to generation never to be lost, and captured for all to understand and appreciate the value of growing up in the Appalachian Mountain of Southwest Virginia.  Enjoy the sitting of Dr. Stanley's reading of his bestselling book The Poco Field: An American Story of Place.
            After Dr. Stanley's talk, there will time for questions and answers.  Books will be available for purchase and time is set aside for autographs.  Refreshments will be served and good conversation is encouraged.
