Children's Home Society in Princeton moves to new location

PRINCETON, W. Va (WVVA)-- An area children's organization celebrated Tuesday.

During their open house, the Children's Home Society in Princeton presented their new building on Center Street to the public.

Senator Joe Manchin stopped by to offer his congratulations and discuss their needs, like more foster families to help children without caring families.

The Children's Home Society also offers therapy, mentoring programs, and adoption services to children.

Leaders there say this new building is a better fit than where they were before.

"We were definitely outgrowing that office," said Joanne Boileau, Psych Manager at the Children's Home Society. "At this office we have about double, maybe triple the floor space that we had at the old office. And it gives us more opportunity to serve the needs of children in our community."

The building is the former home of the Princeton library, and had been renovated with the help of community donations to become the children's home society's new space.
