Local woman talks infertility on 'The Steve Harvey Show'

BECKLEY (WVVA) -- A local woman is sharing problems that hit close to for her, to an international audience.

Megan Constantino has been undergoing infertility treatments for polycystic ovarian syndrome for about two years.  That means she does not ovulate regularly.  The condition affects one-in-seven women.

Megan and her husband, Frank, appeared on The Steve Harvey Show last week, sharing their story.  They're not giving up hope, and they want to encourage others to do the same.

"The most difficult part about it is that we just really want a baby," says Constantino.  "I'm 30.  I'd be a great mother.  I'm full of life and energy.  I love my nieces and nephews. And we're just ready for a baby, so the hardest part for us has to be patience."

Megan says she and Frank were high school sweethearts.  They have been married for over 10 years.

The Constantinos are working closely with a physician.  They've also explored other options, like adoption, too.
