UPDATE: Suspect in liquor store robbery arrested

OAK HILL (WVVA) - Police have made an arrest in a recent liquor store robbery in Fayette County.

Joseph Cardinal was arrested on a charge of first-degree robbery in connection with the robbery of the Comac Liquor Store Friday night.

Police say the suspected walked into the business shortly after 9 p.m., demanded money then fled the scene on foot.

Cardinal was apprehended at a residence in the Armstrong Creek area.

OAK HILL (WVVA) - The Fayette County Sheriff's Department is looking for the suspect who robbed a liquor store near the Food Lion in Oak Hill.

It happened around 9:9:15 p.m. Friday

The male suspect is described as short in stature, wearing a black zipper hoodie and dark jeans. He also had a goatee.

The man got away with an unknown amount of cash.
