FAIRLEA, W.Va (WVVA) -- Greenbrier East sent a huge message to the rest of Class AAA, Saturday night when they defeated Woodrow Wilson 62-49.

East was led again by Rondale Watson who scored 25 points. He's averaging over 26 a game this season. Josh Tunstalle paced the Spartans with 16 points.

The Flying Eagles are continuing to deal with injury problems. They played Saturday night with leading offensive threat Donte Nabors. Brent Osbourne has yet to play and Chase Hancock is also dealing with nagging injuries from football season.

Still, head coach Ron Kidd will be the first to say, the Flying Eagles aren't making any excuses. They are now 1-2 and travel to St. Albans next week. Greenbrier East hosts Bluefield next Friday.
