Watson Leads Greenbrier East To Another Victory

Posted:

FAIRLEA, W.Va (WVVA) -- Greenbrier East is far from a one man team but it's safe to say Rondale Watson is the heart and soul of the Spartans.

Watson had another huge game, Friday night. His 25 points led the way in East's 54-50 victory.

It's just the latest big game for Watson in what's quickly becoming a huge year for him. Watson scored a career high 35 points against Shady Spring on December 30. The weekend before, he scored 23 points against Virginia Episcopal.

There is zero time to enjoy the victory, however. The Spartans have perhaps their toughest game of the season tomorrow night. Greenbrier East will host Woodrow Wilson at 7:30 PM. The Flying Eagles are 1-1 and coming off a victory against Oak Hill last week.
