Area business seeks to help fire victims

TAZEWELL, W. Va (WVVA0-- We learned of an area business trying to help the families living in those apartments, displaced by the Main Street fire

The owner of "Tazewell Used Furniture" on Riverside Drive is offering free merchandise to the victims.

David Hess says his store sells used furniture, electronics, and appliances, and those families are welcome to visit his shop and pick out anything they want to help replace what they may have lost.

He says it just makes sense to do what he can to help.

"I was just sitting at home [on New Year's Eve] with my family and friends," he said, "and I realized that [in contrast] instantaneously these people are left with nothing."

He went on to say his business was supported by the community and therefore, would be there to help it when it is in need.

Victims who would like furniture can call the store at 276, 979, 0911 or visit its location on East Riverside Drive.
