Suspect wanted in alleged parking lot assault


LEWISBURG (WVVA) - Officers from the Lewisburg Police Department need your help catching a man who allegedly assaulted two women after sneaking into the backseat of their car.

Officials say this man is suspected of following two women around Walmart in Lewisburg, then when they got into their car he snuck in the back seat where he allegedly assaulted and threatened them.

The alleged incident occurred around 8:15 p.m. Wednesday night.

Officials say the man fled south towards the Jefferson Square Shopping Center. Police are not sure of his intent but believe he was either trying to rob or abduct the two women.
