Bramwell celebrates 30 years of a holiday tradition

BRAMWELL (WVVA) -- Saturday evening marked a milestone for the town of Bramwell.  They held their 30th annual Historic Home Christmas Candlelight Tour.

There are five homes on the tour, all of which have current residents who live there.

One of the favorites on the tour in the Hewitt House, built in 1914.

The tours started as a fundraiser for the Women's Millionaire Garden Club and blossomed into what they are today.

Bramwell's mayor is one of the founders of the event.

"It's special to me because I saw it from its beginning," says Mayor Lou Stoker.  "I believed from the very beginning that we in Bramwell have something special.  And that visitors would see the special quality that we have, and yes indeed, they're still seeing it."

The next historic home tour is the second weekend in May.
