Graham G-Girls Get Win Number One

Posted:

BLUEFIELD, Va (WVVA) -- The Graham G-Girls started off the 2013-2014 season with two extremely tough opponents for their young squad. Friday night, they showed they could hang with more experienced teams by defeating Tazewell 45-37.

The G-Girls led by double-digits in the fourth quarter but the Lady Bulldogs fought back, cutting the lead to nine. But, Graham coupled a few solid possessions with some defensive stops to hold off the comeback. They hit their free throws down the stretch to seal the eight point victory.

Graham is now 1-2 on the season. Lexi Kiser led the G-Girls with 16 points. Dejah Carter had nine points.
