Bluefield Opens Season With Win Over Princeton

Posted:

PRINCETON, W.Va (WVVA) -- Last year, Princeton defeated the Bluefield Beavers twice. Bluefield went on to win the "AA" state championship. Princeton didn't get out of a very tough region. This year, the Beavers avenged those loses and kick started their title-defense with a big win.

Bluefield defeated Princeton 71-47, led by a 22 point effort from Anthony Eades. Mike Yost added 13 points.

Princeton was paced by Zen Clements who had 14 points. The Tigers are breaking in a nearly brand new squad with several players getting their first varsity experience. Bluefield returned almost all of their players from their championship team.
