PRINCETON (WVVA) – A woman has been arrested after police seize $400,000 of marijuana from a Princeton home.

Shante McKinley of Princeton was charged with cultivation of marijuana after police found 98 hydroponic marijuana plants, with a street value of about $400,000, as well as $50,000 worth of equipment used to help the plants grow at the home in Princeton.

Officers say there could be more arrests in this case in the future.

McKinley is currently out on bond.

The bust was handled by Princeton Police Department and the Princeton detachment of the West Virginia State Police.

Officers were made aware of the marijuana on Dec. 6, when officers Angle and Carrol were at the residence during a drug round-up. They contacted the task force, and were granted probable cause for search and seizure.

Marijuana plants were found in three rooms of the home, as well as grow lights and ventilation equipment.
