    Woman guilty of four charges after running over employee

    MERCER CO. (WVVA) - Dustie Beller was on trial for running over a woman with her car all for chainsaw. While she was found not guilty of attempted murder, the jury did find her guilty of petty larceny, conspiracy, failure to stop and render aid, and malicious wounding. (Beckley, West Virginia) Winterplace Ski Resort opens Friday, December 13, 2013, with at least 17 trails and 6 lifts for skiing and riding. More trails and lifts may open based on weather and snowmaking. Snowtubing is anticipated to open this weekend based on weather and snowmaking.
Winterplace Hours of Operation:
• Weekday Periods- 9 a.m.- 10 p.m.
• Weekend and Holiday Periods- 8 a.m.- 10 p.m.
"With added snowmaking capacity Winterplace has been able to open more trails earlier than ever before," said Terry Pfeiffer, President of Winterplace Ski Resort. "We will have trails for everyone from beginner to expert, plus we anticipate opening the Snowtubing Park this weekend based on weather and snowmaking."
With the Winterplace Central Reservation Service, guests have the ability to reserve everything from lodging to lift tickets with one simple toll free call. Lodging can be arranged at Winterplace's sister resort, The Resort at Glade Springs, The Cabins at Winterplace and other fine lodging facilities in the area.
"Our goal is to provide the finest skiing and resort experience in the Southeast to insure skiers and snowboarders of all levels have a great experience skiing and riding at Winterplace," said Pfeiffer.
Winterplace offers 9 lifts, 27 trails, two terrain parks and West Virginia's largest snowtubing park with 2 Super Carpet lifts. The rental shop features top-of-the-line Rossignol Shaped Skis and Rossignol Snowboards, plus a Demo Center. Winterplace also features a full service Resort Center and a 10,000 square foot mid-mountain facility, The MountainHouse.
