PRINCETON (WVVA) - Three Concord University football players recently charged in an off-campus incident are scheduled to appear in magistrate court Friday.

Marrico Sanders, Russell Bailey and Riyadh Richardson were each charged with malicious wounding, petit larceny and conspiracy stemming from an apparent drug deal gone bad at an apartment near the Athens campus last month.

Richardson waived his right to a preliminary hearing.

Sanders' waived his time period for a prelim hearing, which will be rescheduled after he hires an attorney.

Bailey also waived his time period for a prelim. His attorney tells WVVA News that his client still wants a preliminary hearing, and want to allow more time for the investigation.

WVVA's Gil McClanahan is in court and will have the latest details as they become available.
